Janette Sadik-Khan, New York City's Transportation Commissioner, is doing big things in the big city. With the support of the city's mayor, Mike Bloomberg, Ms. Sadik-Khan is rooting out unecessary traffic congestion, reducing carbon emissions and vastly improving how the city manages the flow of both vehicles and people. Are taxi drivers (particularly the independent operators with run
down yellow vehicles) servicing the White Plains Train Station
rude and inconsiderate, or is it just me?

NYC may need these orange-yellow monstrosities. But I
personally think that here in Westchester, they are an
unnecessary blight. Especially when practically stacked
on top of one another at the station, waiting to curse any
rider who dares request single occupancy transport.
