Mount Vernon seems to be on track to be one of the first, if not the first, city in Westchester
County to introduce electric charging stations. As Go-Eco continues to work closely with the
administration to push alternative fuel vehicles as well as alternative fuels. Mount Vernon's compact
geographic layout, makes it an excellent candidate for electric vehicles. The cars are expected to initially
go to a few select departments, and then grow to include others if the program proves viable.
