Van Jones is a champion of working class Americans and we are sorry to see him go.
This Yale educated lawyer, has been an advocate of working class Americans, getting a seat at the table when it comes to economic rewards of "going green". He's brought municipalities, businesses and citizens together, all in an innovative approach to sustainable, urban renewal and development. We applaud his willingness to serve his country. And we deplore the lack of support he got from the Obama Administration. Especially since the original attacks came from Fox News' Glenn Beck, the very same Beck that called the President of the United States a racist on national television. And if that weren't enough, went on to say that President Obama doesn't like "white people or white culture". If the Administration is unable to defend patriotic Americans who serve willingly in the face of this sort of vile, racist invective, then Mr. Jones was right to resign.
